Records obtained by a public‑records request show three women have come forward with separate accusations of physical and sexual misconduct involving Packers running back Josh Jacobs, raising questions about a possible pattern of behavior.

Key points

  • Police records show three separate women have alleged physical or sexual misconduct by Josh Jacobs dating back to 2021.
  • The incidents were not previously part of the criminal case that led to Jacobs’ May 2022 arrest and September 2022 plea.
  • The NFL’s investigation is ongoing; it is unclear how the new allegations will influence potential league discipline.
  • Jacobs returned to play in October after being on the Commissioner’s Exempt List, scoring two touchdowns in his first game back.

Following the May 26 arrest of Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs on battery charges, the Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released additional statements that three other women had contacted officers after the arrest to recount their own experiences with the player, according to a public‑records request reported by NBC 26.

One woman said she spent roughly 11 hours at Jacobs’ home in early 2022 after a six‑month acquaintance. She alleged that when she told him she was not there for sex, he became angry, slapped her, seized her phone and threw it into a pool, grabbed her hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her to the floor and threatened to kill her, even spitting on her. She had not reported the incident earlier because she remained friends with Jacobs and feared she would not be believed.

Multiple women contact police after May arrest

Another accuser recounted a night in April 2021 when a condom broke during sex. After she asked Jacobs to get tested for STDs, she said he removed her from the residence, pushed her against a wall and threw her belongings, leaving bruises on her arms and swelling near her ribs. Police notes from that case recorded “no visible signs of injury, bruising or damage consistent with a physical altercation.”

A third woman, who met Jacobs via social media, claimed he flew her to a residence in May 2022, then grabbed her hair, placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest and took her phone after it fell. She reported bruises on her arm and scratches on her chest and neck, and said she did not call police at the time because she was not a U.S. citizen and Jacobs warned her of possible deportation.

Details of the three prior incidents

Jacobs pleaded no contest on September 10 to misdemeanor battery and criminal‑damage counts stemming from the May incident, and the NFL placed him on the Commissioner’s Exempt List in August, sidelining him for the Packers’ first six games. He was activated in mid‑October and scored two touchdowns in a recent win, but the league’s investigation remains open.

The newly released allegations have not yet been addressed by the NFL, and officials have not indicated whether the additional statements will affect any further disciplinary action. Jacobs’ legal team declined to comment, citing ongoing matters.

Reader questions

What charges did Josh Jacobs face after his May arrest?

He pleaded no contest to misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal damage to property in September 2022.

What is the NFL’s Commissioner’s Exempt List?

It is a roster designation that allows a player to be removed from the active roster while an investigation or legal matter is pending, without counting against the team’s salary cap.

Could the new allegations lead to additional NFL discipline?

The league has not commented, and officials said the investigation remains open, so any further action would depend on the outcome of the review.
